Tarakan, North Kalimantan– The Sobat Bumi Kalimantan Scholarship Program (BSBK) has been a lifeline for Suci Nur Hikmah, a student from Tarakan, North Kalimantan, allowing her to pursue higher education. After losing her father, she now lives with her mother, a homemaker, and her two siblings amidst economic hardship. Despite these challenges, Suci has shown remarkable academic dedication since high school.

Perth, Australia- PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Tarakan Field’s flagship CSR initiative, the Akar Basah Program (Aliansi Kerja Bebas Sampah), attracted attention at the 2024 Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition (APOGCE) as one of the featured presentations. The event was held in Perth, Australia, on October 15-17. This year, APOGCE 2024&'s theme was "Advancing Energy in Asia Pacific: Opportunities, Challenges, and Solutions."

Balikpapan– PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) is collaborating with the Balikpapan Botanical Garden and the Balikpapan Environmental Agency to support the development of a Seed Bank program. This initiative aims to preserve biodiversity and promote environmental sustainability as part of the Company’s commitment to applying Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Kutai Kartanegara– The Sobat Bumi Kalimantan Scholarship (BSBK) is a flagship CSR program by PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) in education, offering new hope for the youth of Kalimantan to pursue higher education at the undergraduate level. Novi Pebrianti can now live her dream of being a mathematics major at Mulawarman University, having earned the scholarship alongside 14 other top young talents from Kalimantan.
