The oil and natural gas that we produce from the Kalimantan Region play an important role in supporting regional economic growth and Indonesia's development.
Although PHI was officially established in 2015, our partnership with the people of Kalimantan can be traced more than half a century ago which is part of the history of the existence of oil and gas operations in a number of Working Areas (WK), namely: WK Mahakam, WK Sanga Sanga, WK Kalimantan Timur & Attaka, and several others.
We manage oil and gas operations in East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan and North Kalimantan through PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga, PT Pertamina Hulu East Kalimantan, PT Pertamina Hulu West Ganal, PT Pertamina EP, and other affiliates.
In 2020, we produced an average of 51.7 thousand barrels of oil per day (MBOPD) and gas production of 727.5 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD), which is equivalent to approximately 13% and 28% of Pertamina oil and gas production.
With high commitment of more than 2,500 workers with global experience and superior performance, we continue to carry out various technological and creative innovations, efficiency initiatives, synergies and collaborations with other Pertamina subsidiaries. These efforts aim to create value for all stakeholders, especially the Government and the people of Indonesia.
PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) continues to produce crude oil from onshore and offshore fields in Kalimantan to meet domestic energy needs.
