Tabalong – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), in collaboration with the Tabalong Regency Government, organized an Upskilling Leadership Development session for Tabalong Regency Government officials on June 10, 2026, at the Pendopo Building in Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan. The program was intended to support the development of leadership capacity among civil servants and was attended by regional government officials, including the Regional Secretary, Assistants, Heads of Agencies, and other Echelon II and III government officials.

This leadership upskilling activity represents a strategic collaboration between the Company and the regional government to support the sustainability of upstream oil and gas operations as well as community and regional development in Tabalong. Present at the event were Tabalong Regent H.M. Noor Rifani, Zona 9 General Manager Dadang Soewargono, and PEP Tanjung Field Manager Charlie P. Nainggolan.

In his remarks, Tabalong Regent H.M. Noor Rifani expressed his appreciation for the collaboration established between the regional government and the Company, including in the implementation of this upskilling activity. “The collaboration between the Tabalong Regency Government and the Company plays an important role in encouraging the development of village potential, improving the quality of human resources, and strengthening the community economy in the Tabalong region,” he said.

The Regent explained several priority programs in the areas of infrastructure, education, health, economy, and human resource development. According to him, these programs are expected to provide direct benefits to the community while creating broader opportunities for collaboration with the business sector, including the upstream oil and gas industry. “Strong collaboration between the regional government and the Company will be an important asset in supporting sustainable regional development,” he explained.

On the same occasion, the Field Manager of PEP Tanjung Field expressed appreciation to the Tabalong Regency Government for its collaboration, synergy, and important role in supporting the sustainability of upstream oil and gas operations. “We hope that through this agenda, we can all make a tangible contribution to the progress of Pertamina as well as to the success of the Tabalong Regency Government in developing this region,” he stated.

The Upskilling Leadership Development session, titled “Building Transformational Leadership Attitudes and Behaviors,” lasted approximately 2.5 hours and was delivered in an interactive and inspiring manner by PHI Manager Communication Relations & CID, Dony Indrawan. According to him, strong leadership plays an important role in supporting the success of organizations and regional governments in achieving their shared vision. “One top leader can influence an entire organization, either positively or negatively. Therefore, it is very important to ensure effective leadership by developing the necessary leadership attitudes and behaviors,” explained Dony, who has decades of experience as a Leadership Coach.

Dony believes that transformational leadership is highly effective in navigating today’s extraordinary pace of change. “Transformational leadership is the ability to inspire and motivate individuals to achieve a shared vision through the maximum development of their personal capabilities. If this form of leadership is realized and implemented, it is expected that civil servants will grow into professionals capable of facing future challenges as leaders in government,” he added.

Various critical questions were enthusiastically raised, enriching the interactive discussion between participants and the speaker. “It is important for every government leader to continuously train and develop these transformational leadership attitudes and behaviors so that they can deliver outstanding government performance in serving the public and developing their region,” Dony concluded.
