Jakarta - PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) has successfully maintained the SNI ISO 37001: 2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) certification in 2022. The accreditation is successfully maintained through internal and external audit processes. SNI ISO 37001 is an international standard for Anti-Bribery Management Systems for organizations of all types and sizes committed to anti-bribery policies and controls. 

PHI's Executive Audit Team conducts an internal audit (26/09/2022 – 04/11/2022), while a certification body completes an external audit (Audit Surveillance II) from the British Standards Institution (BSI) Group Indonesia (15-16/11/2022). 

"Based on the assessment of the Internal Audit and External Audit, the implementation of SMAP in PHI has been implemented very well and is expected to make continuous improvements," said Chalid Said Salim, President Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia. 

Furthermore, Chalid Said Salim, who also serves on the Steering Board for the Implementation of ABMS in PHI, stated that this achievement is the result of the hard work of all PHI officers who have shown extraordinary determination to implement SMAP. 

According to Chalid, the ISO 37001 Certificate audit process is a form of synergy and borderless strategy within the scope of PHI. This achievement is very proud because all functions commit to implementing ABMS. 

This ABMS is designed to assist organizations and companies in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving anti-bribery programs. PHI has received a SMAP certificate since January 6, 2021, valid until January 05, 2024.

"It is hoped that this achievement can continue to be maintained properly and the Anti-Bribery Management System can run optimally, to support the sustainability of the Company's oil and gas operations and business for the sustainability of national energy supply," added Chalid. 

Meanwhile, the Senior Manager of Relations of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia, Farah Dewi, expressed his appreciation to the PHI Compliance & Board Support Team and the entire PHI FKAP Team whose audit process so that PHI can appropriately maintain the ISO 37001 certification.

"This certification is important to maintain so that the Company can always continue to run oil and gas operations that are safe, reliable, environmentally friendly, and comply with all applicable regulations by the application of ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) principles," said Farah Dewi.
