Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) hosted and coordinated the Technical Discussion of the Maritime and Shipping Work Program for the 2026 fiscal year. The event, which involved all Production Sharing Contract Contractors (KKKS) within the Pertamina Upstream Subholding (SHU) and the Upstream Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas (SKK Migas), took place at PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) Head Office at Graha Elnusa, Jakarta, from July 7–18, 2025.
The event, which involved nearly 200 cross-functional personnel, is part of an annual forum held annually since 2022, and is held in rotation by the regions under the coordination of SHU. This time, PHI, through its Production & Operations function, served as host and coordinator for the strategic issue discussion.
Over two weeks, participants developed a work plan covering the scope of work, a budget proposal, and an asset optimization strategy for the 2026 fiscal year. They also submitted a monitoring report on the implementation of the 2025 WP&B to the Shipping and Maritime Affairs Department, Operations Support Division, SKK Migas, and other relevant units.
Suhendro, Production & Operations Manager of PHI-Regional 3 Kalimantan, stated that through this activity, PHI is encouraging stronger synergy among all upstream oil and gas entities, in line with its commitment to optimizing collaboration between Pertamina subsidiaries to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operational management. "This discussion forum is a concrete manifestation of strategic collaboration within the national upstream oil and gas industry to strengthen Indonesia's energy security in a sustainable manner. We hope this activity can strengthen the spirit of efficiency across various sectors without compromising our commitment amidst the current challenges," he said.
Rocky SJ Makapuan, Head of the Shipping and Maritime Affairs Department of SKK Migas, shared the same perspective. "The discussion meeting proceeded with a spirit of hard work and collaboration. The spirit of continuous progress and maintaining smooth operations must be prioritized, especially in the Shipping Industry." He also appreciated the active collaboration of all parties who demonstrated high dedication within Pertamina's Upstream Subholding.
As coordinator and host of the event, PHI, through close collaboration with the HSSE and Business Support Functions, strived to ensure the added value of this activity was reflected not only in the smooth running of the process, but also in the active contributions of the SHU and Regional teams in bridging cross-functional and entity coordination. Each entity played a strategic role in maintaining alignment of perspectives, strengthening accountability in discussions, and establishing a more structured and accountable governance structure.
Through the successful organization of this forum, PHI affirmed its role in strengthening adaptive, accountable, and collaborative governance in the upstream oil and gas industry. In line with the government's efforts to realize Asta Cita, particularly in strengthening economic independence and national energy security, PHI is committed to continuously promoting efficiency, strengthening synergies, and ensuring that every strategic step taken has a real impact on Indonesia's energy sustainability.
