Gathering with Energy Journalists, PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Presents Q1 2025 Performance and Launches Media Appreciation Program

Jakarta - PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) held its BASO IGA PHI/Bincang Asik Soal Migas Ala PHI event, a post-Eid al-Fitr gathering attended by editors-in-chief and journalists from various national media outlets, on Friday, April 25, 2025. This event served as a networking opportunity and a strategic forum to strengthen communication between the press and the Company and encourage public support for the sustainability of the national upstream oil and gas industry.

In his remarks, Senior Manager of Relations at PHI Handri Ramdhani expressed his gratitude for the media's support thus far and emphasized the importance of maintaining harmonious and collaborative relationships with the media in the face of an increasingly rapid information era. "In this era of increasingly rapid information exchange, the role of the media as a bridge between the public and the Company is becoming increasingly important. Therefore, events like BASO IGA PHI are a key to building trust and sustainable collaboration," said Handri.

As a manifestation of PHI's commitment to supporting government policies, Handri invited all media members to continue strengthening synergy to support the government's Asta Cita mandate in achieving national energy self-sufficiency.

On this occasion, Handri presented the Company's operational performance achievements in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, which successfully recorded daily oil production of 58.3 thousand barrels per day (MBOPD) and gas production reaching 641.7 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). "We continue to take strategic steps to maintain oil and gas production levels while maintaining the economic viability of oil and gas projects through cost optimization and a borderless strategy," he said.

On the well operations side, PHI has completed 43 exploitation or development wells, 139 workover programs, and carried out 2,950 well service activities. These activities were carried out with a high commitment to work safety, as reflected in the achievement of 61.9 million safe working hours.

During this event, the Manager of Communication Relations & CID PHI, Dony Indrawan, introduced "Apresiasi Pewarta Energi Kalimantan" (Kalimantan Energy Journalist Appreciation), abbreviated as APEKA, as a new company program aimed at appreciating quality journalistic works that raise topics in the upstream oil and gas sector. "Through the APEKA 2025 program, we want to continue to support the improvement of energy journalists' quality and media coverage of the national upstream oil and gas industry so that it provides increasingly tangible benefits to the reading public," he explained.

During the Eid al-Fitr gathering, the event also became a moment to commemorate the late Dudi Rahman, a national oil and gas press figure and Chairman of the Energy and Mining Editor Society (E2S), who passed away last Thursday.

The event concluded with a shared meal of baso iga, the signature dish that has become the icon of this activity. This dish symbolizes togetherness and close ties between PHI and the media.
