Sangasanga – Pertamina EP Sangasanga Field (PEP Sangasanga Field) held a blood donation at Wisma Ria on Thursday (09/12) to celebrate the 64th anniversary of Pertamina (Persero). The activity was held in collaboration with Aji Batara Agung Dewa Sakti Hospital and PMI Samboja, which was attended by 120 people consisting of PEP Sangasanga Field’s workers and partners.

PEP Sangasanga Field Senior Manager, Gondo Irawan explained that, the blood donation activities are not only beneficial for the donors, but it can also save other people. "One drop of blood that we give can mean alms for all of us, which of course will provide benefits for others," said Gondo.

Representing RSUD Aji Batara Agung Dewa Sakti, dr. Herniaty Rampo, Sp.PK, who talked about the difficulty in blood stock that has been experienced by hospitals and PMI since the Covid-19 pandemic started. RSUD now serves people who want to donate blood through a blood transfusion unit.

Dr. Hernia stated that, "Since the Covid-19 pandemic started, the blood stocks in hospitals and PMI have been unoccupied, because it has been difficult to find donors who meet the standard criteria. Therefore, we are grateful to be involved in this event and appreciate PEP Sangasanga who organized this activity.”

The activity was carried out in order, safe manner, and prioritized health protocols from the screening queue, taking blood until the event ended.

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field is one of Pertamina EP's oil and gas fields, which is currently incorporated in Pertamina Subholding Upstream Region 3 Zona 9. SKK Migas Integrated Operating System (SOT) data dated on December 6, 2021 year-to-date shows crude oil production PEP Sangasanga is 4553,409 BOPD. Meanwhile, gas production is around 3.1357 MMSCFD.
