Bunyu, North Kalimantan – PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Bunyu Field, part of the Sub holding Upstream Regional 3 Kalimantan Zona 10, has drilled the B2102 well on New Year's Eve 2021 to 2022, December 31, 2021. These activities are carried out simultaneously in the field Bunyu and Santan Terminal, and also in a hybrid way by Zona 10 from Lawe-Lawe Terminal, Tarakan Field, JOB Simenggaris, and Jakarta. Present at the event were the President Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), Chalid Said Salim; PHI's VP Development and Drilling, Arief Prasetyo Handoyo; General Manager of Zona 10, Raam Krisna; Bunyu Field Manager, Andry; Tarakan Field Manager, Isrianto Kurniawan; management ranks from Regional 3 Kalimantan and Zone 10, and workers/partners from Zona 10.

Starting activity of the drilling of the well B2102 Bunyu Field was marked by the sound of a siren and followed by the cutting of the cone which was carried out at Bunyu Field. The President Director of PHI, Chalid Said Salim, explained that the 2021 achievements in terms of drilling, production, commercial, and several awards were the best results in the form of contributions, synergies, and the role of all parts of Zona 10 Regional 3 Kalimantan. Each worker/partner has an important role in this achievement, with different backgrounds, and combined into one. We are facing bigger challenges in 2022, so with the spirit of optimism and focus in carrying out our work, we can achieve the target in 2022, said Chalid.

Well B2102 is the first of the wells to be drilled in the 2022 Work Plan (RK). Based on the RK there will be 17 drilled wells in the Zona 10 area, namely ten wells in Bunyu, four wells in Tarakan, and three wells in Sembakung. The configuration applied is Bunyu shallow, with a drilling plan of three routes; which will take 29 days, with a planned production target of 275 BPOD. If this process is successful, it will become a benchmark for the development of shallow wells in Bunyu in the future. The process of traveling the B2102 well also faced several challenges, including the current COVID-19 pandemic, but managed to optimize it while still prioritizing the HSSE aspect.

The realization plan of drilling in Bunyu has gone through a long process, synergy, and collaboration of all regional, zone, and field functions. This activity is a milestone in Zona 10 to look at 2022 with a brighter, safer, with increased production reliability. In the early morning of January 1, 2022, the well-drilled Bunyu B2102 was an important moment for Subholding Upstream Regional 3 Kalimantan Zona 10.

On the same occasion, General Manager Raam Krisna also expressed his appreciation to all Zona 10 workers/partners for the collaboration and synergies that have existed during 2021, so that at the end of the year they can carry out well drilling. We also won 2 Gold PROPER for the PHKT area. DOBU and PEP Tarakan Field, and 2 Green PROPER for PHKT DOBS and PEP Bunyu Field areas.

PHI and all of its subsidiaries will continue to synergize and collaborate, through the implementation of the AKHLAK value, with the hope that in 2022, they are optimistic that they can provide the best performance, and continue to make maximum efforts to meet national energy needs.
