Tabalong - PT Pertamina EP Tanjung Field (PEP Tanjung Field), which is part of Zone 9 Subholding Upstream Regional Kalimantan, held COVID-19 vaccination for the Company’s employees and work partners on Wednesday (8/25). It was held to support the Government’s herd immunity program as well as to provide protection from COVID-19 for PEP Tanjung Field workers. The program was implemented in stages for workers and partners. To date, there have been 10 vaccination programs with a total participant of 250 workers and partners.

PEP Tanjung Field held the vaccination program in cooperation with the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office (Dinkes Kalsel) and is supported by SKK Migas Kalimantan Sulawesi (SKK Migas Kalsul). On a past occasion when SKK Migas Kalsul gave oxygen tanks aid to South Kalimantan Province, the Acting Governor of South Kalimantan, Safrizal ZA, had expressed his hopes that the upstream oil and gas operation and activities would go well in South Kalimantan region, including the COVID-19 vaccine provision for workers in upstream oil and gas industry and local people.

Manager of Tanjung Field, Sigid Setiawan, expressed his appreciation for SKK Migas Kalsul and Dinkes Kalsel who have helped facilitating the vaccination program because its benefits will affect Tanjung Field workers and Tabalong people.

Head of SKK Migas Representative Kalsul, Azhari Idris, supported PEP Tanjung Field’s efforts in accelerating COVID-19 vaccination for workers, work partners, and communities around its operational area since it shows that PEP Tanjung Field cares.

Azhari explained that as a strategic sector, upstream oil and gas requires a workforce that is always prepared and ready to perform any operational activity. The vaccination is expected to promote expeditious upstream oil and gas activities in South Kalimantan Province, particularly in Tabalong Regency.  He asked all participants of the program to keep rigorously following the health protocol.
