Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan – Tanjung Field, one of Pertamina EP’s (PEP) upstream oil and gas fields in Pertamina's Zone 9 Subholding Upstream Regional 3 Kalimantan, delivered aid in the form of 20 full 6 m3 oxygen tanks to the Public Health Department of South Kalimantan Province, Friday, 03 September 2021. The aid were presented by the Manager of Tanjung Field, Sigid Setiawan, to the Head of Public Health Department, Dr. H. Muhamad Muslim, S.Pd., M.Kes. The oxygen tanks would be further distributed to several hospitals that needed them.
In his speech, Sigid noted that this aid is a form of Pertamina EP’s care to support the South Kalimantan Province Government in accelerating COVID-19 pandemic alleviation. “Hopefully this will help providing medical needs in COVID-19 alleviation and will benefit the people who need it. Hopefully this pandemic will end soon and we can get back to our normal activities,” he said. On the same occasion, Muslim expressed his appreciation for PEP Tanjung Field’s aid. “Thank you for our friends in Pertamina, this shows that Pertamina cares about COVID-19 alleviation in South Kalimantan, especially regrading those that need oxygen,” he said. Furthermore, Muslim hoped that other parties can follow this example to work together in overcoming COVID-19.
Separately, the Head of SKK Migas for Kalimantan and Sulawesi (Kalsul), Azhari Idris, expressed his appreciation for the help PEP Tanjung Field provided to support the government’s program in caring for COVID-19 patients. HE also reminded all workers in upstream oil and gas industry, particularly those in PEP Tanjung Field to keep following the existing health protocol.
PEP Tanjung Field continuously campaigns for the implementation of Health Protocol for all its workers, in both work areas and their home. In addition, PEP Tanjung Field also has held 10 vaccination events for its workers and work partners, in cooperation with the Public Health Department of South Kalimantan Province.
