Supporting Oil and Gas Operations Security as National Vital Objects, PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Management Pays Courtesy Visit to Satinduk BAIS TNI

Bogor – The management of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) conducted a courtesy visit to the Headquarters of the Strategic Intelligence Agency's (BAIS) Main Unit/Satuan Induk Badan Intelijen Strategis (Satinduk) TNI in Cilendek, Bogor, West Java. The visit, held on August 27, 2024, aimed to strengthen relationships and build cooperation to support the smooth and successful execution of upstream oil and gas operations as a frontline energy provider for Indonesia.

The courtesy visit was led by PHI President Director Sunaryanto, who was greeted by Brigadier General Dedi Nurhadiman, Commander of Satinduk BAIS TNI. Also present were Putra Jaya, Manager of Corporate Security at PT Pertamina (Persero), Suwasono, Acting Security Manager of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), and Indarto Wibowo, Business Support Specialist at SKK Migas.

Sunaryanto, affectionately known as Anto, expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality extended by Satinduk BAIS TNI during the visit. “As a state-owned enterprise, PHI and Satinduk BAIS TNI, as a national security entity, have roles in fulfilling national duties. Therefore, this visit is essential,” said Anto.

He noted that such visits are deeply touching and strengthen the bond between the company and the TNI, particularly Satinduk BAIS TNI. Anto also thanked the TNI unit for its ongoing support in maintaining security and a conducive situation around the company's operational areas, especially in Kalimantan.

“The operational and production facilities managed by PHI and its subsidiaries are National Vital Objects/Objek Vital Nasional (Obvitnas) that adhere to high safety and security standards. Therefore, we need the support and cooperation of the TNI to ensure the safety and security of the company's facilities and operations,” he added.

Brigadier General Dedi Nurhadiman hoped that both parties would continue to foster communication and collaboration to safeguard the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. “I hope that TNI and PHI can continue to synergize to support achieving goals by each party’s duties and roles,” he added.

Meanwhile, Putra Jaya, Manager of Corporate Security at PT Pertamina (Persero), highlighted their encouragement for positive collaboration and synergy extending to field operations. “Especially now, the oil and gas fields managed by PHI and its subsidiaries are located in Kalimantan, where the Capital City of Indonesia/ Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) is situated,” said Putra.
