Jakarta—PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) and the PHI Workers Union (SP PHI) have signed a Collective Labor Agreement (PKB) at the PHI Headquarters in Jakarta. The signing was started by PHI President Director Sunaryanto and SP PHI Chairman Aditya Nugraha and witnessed by PHI VP Business Support Farah Dewi, PHI Negotiation Chair Amilia Elvandari, and SP PHI Negotiation Chair Dwi Putro Wijayanto.
The Collective Labor Agreement (PKB), signed on March 28, 2024, represents a significant milestone for PHI. It is the first of its kind and will be effective until 2026. During the signing ceremony, SP PHI Chairman Aditya Nugraha emphasized the significance of this agreement for PHI, highlighting the union's nearly two-year anticipation of its realization.
Through this accord between management and the workers' union, there is now an opportunity to synchronize the company's vision and mission to accomplish PHI's future objectives.
Through this agreement, PHI President Director Sunaryanto, also known as Anto, expressed aspirations for harmonious, dynamic, and equitable industrial relations. By fostering a conducive work environment, both parties can maximize their potential and contribute to the company's advancement and the well-being of its employees.
"The company believes that harmonious industrial relations will support the success and sustainability of the company's operations and business. Therefore, the company collaborates with all internal stakeholders, especially workers and unions, in building harmonious industrial relations," explained Sunaryanto.
He further stated that this PKB is crafted and executed by the guidelines of applicable laws and regulations. Given the company's status as a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) and its leadership of subsidiaries and affiliates functioning as Production Sharing Contractors (PSCs), this Collective Labor Agreement also incorporates the provisions of PHE as the Parent Company through gradual harmonization, and the relevant regulations of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas).
"The company appreciates the aspirations, input, and suggestions of workers and unions conveyed for mutual benefit and also encourages workers and unions to utilize appropriate communication channels to convey aspirations, suggestions, and input to the company," he added.
According to Sunaryanto, PHI, as part of the Pertamina Upstream Subholding, is committed to becoming a world-class oil and gas company supported by strong technological innovation, business fundamentals, and operational excellence to provide added value to stakeholders. "This PKB also serves as a good foundation in industrial relations that can support the achievement of the company's vision," he concluded.
During this event, SP PHI Chairman Aditya Nugraha conveyed appreciation for the signing of the PKB. Aditya elaborated that social dialogue was crucial in formulating the PKB and facilitating smooth communication. "No matter the challenges, through discussion and dialogue, we can find solutions. We can wisely overcome obstacles. We at SP PHI are committed to leveraging all strengths, embracing everyone, inviting collaboration, and fostering the growth of PHI," he expressed.
Both PHI and SP PHI hope that the goodwill and intentions expressed in the Collective Labor Agreement can be implemented to improve company performance and worker welfare.
