Subholding Upstream Regional Kalimantan Holds In-House Coaching Mentoring

Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), as Pertamina’s Subholding Upstream Regional Kalimantan, through its Human Capital department, held an Upskilling Coaching & Mentoring on 15, 18, and 30 September 2021. 90 participants from various departments in Regional 3 and Zones 8, 9, and 10 attended the training.

PHI puts its Officers as the most important asset in sustaining and improving organizational performance. For that, the company fully support employee development programs through coaching & mentoring d as a one of its people development efforts in addition to training and taskforce/job assignment. 

This coaching & mentoring is promoted by Subholding Upstream via, among others, CHATTER application which enables meetings between coaches & coachees, and between mentors & mentees from the whole Subholding Upstream. As a follow up, an orientation program is needed to find prospective coaches & mentors who can register themselves in the application and be more active in implementing coaching & mentoring. It is expected that Officers who participate in this activity can be coaches or mentors for their work partners, team members, and even other interdepartmental Officers.

Senior Manager of Human Capital for Regional Kalimantan, Muhammad Sodiqin, in his speech said that this Coaching & Mentoring is very important for Officers to participate in for their continuous self-improvement as well as for the development of people around them. “It can be implemented through the 4P principles, which are: Positive Thinking, Practice, Persistent  , and Pray,” he explained.  

All participants were very enthusiastic and appreciative during the program. They had many questions and discussions. They also gave positive feedbacks such as hoping for more advanced sessions and longer duration in the future so that they can play their roles as coach or mentor better.
