Kutai Kartanegara – Four Oil and Gas Contractors (KKKS), Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT), Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM), Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS), Pertamina EP (PEP) and ENI Muara Bakau B.V. along with the Special Task Force for the Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Kalimantan Sulawesi Representative disburse the Community Empowerment Program (PPM) aid for pedestrian bridges in the Tenggarong CBD Area and a unit of hearse for Abadi Samboja Public Regional Hospital (RSUD Abadi Samboja) on 12 May 2022.
The Tenggarong CBD area is a green open space aimed to be a community recreational facility. The pedestrian bridges would be a supporting facility to improve the community’s safety and comfort, as well as the implementation public-private mix in the infrastructure sector. Meanwhile, the hearse was given out as a public-private mix implementation in the health sector to support better healthcare by RSUD Samboja.
The assistance was symbolically received by the Kutai Kartanegara Secretary, Sunggono, representing the Kutai Kartanegara Regent, at the Kutai Kartangara Regent’s Office. Sunggono conveyed his appreciation to SKK Migas Kalimantan and Sulawesi Representative and the oil and gas contractors for their contributions to support regional development efforts. Sunggono hoped that the partnership would continue between the Kutai Kartanegara Regency administrations, SKK Migas and oil and gas contractors that operated in the regency.
SKK Migas Kalsul Representative Head, Azhar Idris, said that the assistance was part of the companies’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) as well as an emergency and disaster mitigation effort, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On a separate occasion, Farah Dewi, Relations Senior Manager for PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia, the parent company of PHM, PHKT and PHSS, said that the company is committed to always carry Social and Environmental Responsibility programs that provide benefits and values to the community, especially within the company’s operation areas to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“The pedestrian bridge and hearse assistance is aimed to give direct benefit for the Kutai Kartanegara community. We also hope that the hearse could provide easier access to healthcare and deathcare for the community,” Dewi said.
