Kutai Kartanegara, 16/08/2021  - Sangasanga Field, which is part of Zone 9 Regional 3 Kalimantan, joined forces with Kodim (District Military Command) 0906/Tenggarong to hold an event called Serbuan Vaksinasi (Vaccination Attack) on Monday, 16 August 2021. In this event,  Stage 2 of Sinovac vaccination was administered to workers while and stage 1 of the same vaccination was administered to workers’ families. This program is part of the efforts in preventing COVID-19 spread to ensure company’s operational and production activities can continue smoothly.

The vaccination was carried out in two spots. For Sangasanga region, it was held at Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field’s Training Center, while for Anggana region, it was carried out at PEP Sangasanga Fields’ Anggana office. The Senior Manager of Sangasanga Field, Gondo Irawan,  said that this program is company’s way to support the government’s efforts in expanding the scope of vaccination for workers in upstream oil and gas sector. “We cooperate with District Military Command, Sangasanga Public Health Center, and Anggana Public Health Center to administer vaccination for oil and gas workers and their families in Sangasanga,” he said.

The number of participants in this event exceeded expectation. In Sangasanga region, 174 people had been registered and 214 people turned up;  52 of whom received stage 1 vaccination and 162 received stage 2 vaccination.  In Anggana region, 7 participants received the first dose and 62 people received the second dose of vaccination.

PEP Sangasanga is one of Pertamina EP’s (PEP) upstream oil and gas fields in Zone 9 Subholding Upstream Regional 3 Kalimantan. SKK Migas Integrated Operating System (SOT) data dated 19 August 2021 year-to-date showed that PEP Sangasanga’s crude oil production reached 5,093 BOPD and gas production reached around 3.73 feet cubic per day (mmscfd).
