At the same time, 2021 was also closed with the success of PHKT and PEP Bunyu in accelerating their production. PHKT has succeeded in accelerating the reactivation of the Sapi Gas Handling Surface Facility (GHSF) in the working area of the Northern Operations Area (DOBU), Samboja, East Kalimantan. The surveying activity took 1.5 years from the initial target of completing the survey in the second quarter of 2023. This acceleration has increased the number of wells managed by PHKT from 3 to 7 wells. This will bring the total production capacity to 8 MMSCFD which will reach its peak at 30 MMSCFD.
The President Director of PHI, Chalid Said Salim, explained that all functions had collaborated in anticipating and designing the Sapi GHSF reactivation program well. "This activity is a borderless implementation between PHI's subsidiaries, which has been well programmed, so that drilling activities are maintained both from the safety and operations aspect, as well as opening up innovation opportunities for proper efficiency," explained Chalid.
Meanwhile, the General Manager of Zona 10, Raam Krisna, explained that the reactivation of the GHSF Sapi has opened up opportunities for cross-border operations with other Pertamina subsidiaries. The data from the drilling results can be used as a reference for the Sapi-South Handil border area. According to him, a solid collaboration between Pertamina's subsidiaries can be carried out in the utilization of ex-termination materials in the Sapi project.
“The production of PEP Bunyu Field has been successfully accelerated, with a target of 3 wells each producing 300-350 BOPD. Currently 2 wells have been completed, namely wells B-217 and BN-57, it is hoped that one which is currently in the drilling process can immediately contribute to its production as well. The acceleration process is realized with great commitment and cooperation from both internal and eksternal stakeholders, in this case by collaborating with SKK Migas Representatives of Kalimantan Sulawesi, since preparations such as material and equipment procurement, AFE approval, or site preparation, "explained Krisna.
Facing 2022, PHI and all of its subsidiaries will continue to collaborate, integrate, and synergize; despite of many challenges and during COVID-19 pandemic; to meet the government's target of 1 million barrels in 2030.
