Jakarta-Pertamina Subholding Upstream Regional 3 Kalimantan, through its Relations function, held a training entitled Workshop and Upskilling Key Corporate Messaging. The two-day training was carried out online on 03 August and 10 August 2021. The participants came from Relations functions of Zone 8, Zone 9, and Zone 10 of Regional 3.

This competency development effort was held to answer Regional 3 Kalimantan’s challenge to build a positive reputation for the company using various communication strategy, including upskilling key corporate messaging that is in line with company’s vision and mission statements.

The training was opened by Senior Manager of Relations of Regional 3 Kalimantan, Farah Dewi. On that occasion, she iterated that the training was carried out to develop participants’ knowledge and skills so that they understand the guidelines in key corporate messaging as company’s strategy. ”We encourage all members of relations team to develop their analytical and strategic thinking skills so that they are able to accurately compose comprehensive communication messages,” she said.

As training instructor, Manager of Communications Relations & CID in Regional 3 Kalimantan Dony Indrawan invited all participants to have discussions and to gain deeper understanding concerning corporate messaging. The training commenced with a presentation about corporate messaging in communication & reputation building. After listening to the presentation, all participants were split into several groups to work on key corporate messaging that later would be discussed together.

Participants showed enthusiasm in giving their opinions concerning issues that occurred in Regional 3 Kalimantan as well as in exchanging thoughts to create corporate messaging as instructed. Every group was given a chance to present the result of their discussion, and was directly reviewed by Dony Indrawan.

Dony explained that this upskilling training was a moment that had to be fully explored. ”We are committed that this kind of trainings can be continuously and regularly held to have more effective results which will be useful in supporting company’s operation and goals,” he said.
