PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga Holds a Teaching Action and Light Program for Remote Areas in Muara Badak

Muara Badak – PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) collaborated with the Muara Badak Student Association (IMABA) to carry out a Teaching Action and Light for Remote Areas (Solar Cell) Program for schools. They were in remote areas in Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency (4-5/02/ 2023).

Teaching Action is a teaching and learning service program conducted by PHSS together with IMABA at SDN 023 Muara Badak, Salo Elai Hamlet, Salo Palai Village, SDN 023 Fillial, Salo Bandang Hamlet, Salo Palai Village, and SDN 001 Fillial, Tadutan Hamlet, Saliki Village, Muara Badak District.

Head of Comrel & CID Zone 9, Elis Fauziyah, said that this activity was a form of PHSS' commitment to carrying out the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) or CSR education program in the Company's Ring I area.

PHSS supports the development of human resource capacity, especially for the younger generation, in areas still difficult to reach, such as the Dusun Tadutan area. In this area, there are 3 RTs with a population of up to 400 families, but there is only 1 Elementary School, SD N 001 Fillial, with two teachers and 15 students from grade 1 to grade 6 of SD.

"With this program, we hope to be able to provide new learning and support facilities for students, as well as strengthen the AKHLAK values ​​that are instilled in the younger generation to continue to be passionate about developing their regions," said Elis.

Meanwhile, the Head of IMABA, Kevin Riski Wijaya, expressed his appreciation to PHSS. "Advanced civilizations are shaped by science. We hope this program can benefit elementary school children and the community in the Muara Badak District area," he said.

Regarding the Cahaya program, PHSS symbolically handed over solar panels to 3 elementary schools and public facilities at the Al Ikhlas Mosque, Salo Bandang Hamlet, Salo Palai Village, Muara Badak District.

"As part of our commitment to support Pertamina's energy transition policy, we continue to encourage the use of new and renewable energy, which can increase people's independence from energy at the same time. Utilize energy sources that are environmentally friendly and sustainable," Elis explained.

The Head of the Community Development and Empowerment Section of Muara Badak Subdistrict, Neneng, said that the PLN network has yet to reach the Salo Bandang Hamlet, Salo Palai and Tadutan Hamlet, Saliki Village.

"Access to the area is quite far and difficult to reach by land or sea transportation. PHSS renewable energy in the area can help children's and the community's learning activities in worship." Close Grandma.
