Tenggarong – PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) and PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field have clinched four awards for their CSR programs at the 4th Kutai Kartanegara CSR Award 2023. PHSS received two Gold awards, one in the Economic category for the Balanipa program and another in the Biosphere category for the Jaga Pesisir Kita (Japes) program. Additionally, they secured a Silver award in the Economic category for the Less Energy More Results (LERES) program. Meanwhile, PEP Sangasanga received a Silver award in the Economic category for the Tante Siska program.

The awards were presented by Dr. H. Sunggono, the Secretary of Kutai Kartanegara Regency, during an event held on December 27, 2023, at Gedung Putri Karang Melenu, Teluk Dalam Village, Tenggarong Seberang, Kutai Kartanegara. The Secretary appreciated and congratulated the companies for their active role in implementing the Program Pengembangan Masyarakat (PPM) and creating positive impacts on the community. The 4th Kutai Kartanegara CSR Award themed "Synergy of CSR Building an Innovative, Competitive, and Independent Kutai Kartanegara."

Andre Wijanarko, General Manager of Zone 9, emphasized the importance of sustainability in CSR programs, aligning them with social mapping to ensure positive and lasting impacts. He stated that Zone 9 will continue to develop targeted and value-added CSR programs for the community.

Meanwhile, Wisnu Wardhana, Head of the Formalities and Communication Department at SKK Migas Representative for Kalimantan and Sulawesi, appreciated the achievements of PHSS and Pertamina EP. He highlighted that these achievements are proof of the government's recognition of the multiple benefits or multiplier effects of the upstream oil and gas industry. Wisnu added that the community development activities by PHSS and PEP Sangasanga in nurturing and developing areas around their operational zones are part of the plan and strategy (Renstra) of Indonesia Oil and Gas (IOG) 4.0.

"For example, the Integrated Agriculture Program with Social Innovation in the Setaria Group abbreviated as Tante Siska, has successfully elevated the economic status of farmers through social innovation in agriculture. This program aligns with two targets in the IOG Renstra: enhancing the multiplier effect for communities around the upstream oil and gas industry and ensuring the sustainability of the environment," continued Wisnu.

The 4th Kutai Kartanegara CSR Award drew participation from 33 companies in the plantation and forestry, oil and gas, power generation, and mining sectors. The event aims to foster synergy among the government, society, and companies in empowering the community through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.

Meanwhile, Dony Indrawan, Manager of Communication Relations & CID at PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia, the parent company, explained the company's confidence in continuing to develop harmonious relationships with the community and local governments to support the sustainability of the upstream oil and gas operations that play a crucial role in providing energy for Indonesia.
