Kutai Kartanegara, Friday, 4 September 2020 - PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT), one of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia subsidiaries, donated 1 unit of ambulance for Semangko Village, Marangkayu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency on 4 September 2020 as a form of the company's commitment to support the local administration's program to improve the access and quality of the community's health around the company's operation area during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The donation ceremony was held in Kutai Kartanegara Regent Residence, Tenggarong and it was received by the Kutai Kartanegara Vice Regent H. Chairil Anwar. The ceremony was followed by a cooperation agreement signing between PHKT and Kersik Village Administration to procure 1 unit of ambulance for the Kersik Village community which was witnessed by Kukar Vice Regent and Marangkayu District Head. The series of events followed strict health protocols.
During his speech, Kutai Kartanegara Vice Regent H. Chairil Anwar conveyed his appreciation to the Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur management for their concern on Kutai Kartanegara community's needs in education and health such as stunting and malnutrition alleviation, especially for the Marangkayu District community. “The company's concern for the community's needs in education and health, such as through stunting and malnutrition alleveiaton that does not only rely on the government, but also needs the support from the private sector”, the Vice Regent said to the community representative and &PHKT management that were present in the event.
Meanwhile, PHKT Relations Manager Tommy Sibuea said that PHKT and PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia's subsidiaries that operated in the East Kalimantan area were committed to help the community through various CSR programs. “PHKT continues to support Kutai Kartanegara Region Administration's programs and in the company's other operation areas in health, economy, education and environment fields. We hope that the ambulance donation could be used to its maximum extent by the community,” Tommy said.
The partnership with Kutai Kartanegara Regional Administration, Marangkayu District and the community is expected to continue so that PHKT could continue its safe, effective and efficient oil and gas operations to support the national oil and gas production target that crucial to Indonesia's development.
