BALIKPAPAN, Monday (10 February) - There was something different during the PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) Directors and Board of Commissioners' Management Walk Through (MWT) to PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) on 10-13 February. PHI President Director Bambang Manumayoso and PHI Commissioners Iman Prasetyo Mulyadi dan Taufan Hunneman visited PHSS workers' and stakeholders' houses located in the Badak, Nilam, Semberah dan Mutiara Fields. This showed that PHI leaders care about the workers and the stakeholders as an importart partner in PHSS oil and gas operations. 

During various occasion, Bambang always conveyed safety/HSSE messages to each PHSS workers to ensure the operations' smoothness and sustainability. "So all of you can leave for work in a healthy condition and arrive home safely," Bambang said to one of the families that he visited. "Understand the safety procedures,"he continued. 

Four workers visited by the President Director and PHI Commissioners were the security, driver, operator and public relations staff. The event lasted for two days during which they visited 2 other workers' houses.

Muara Badak and continuing the journey to Semberah Field Camp to talk with Semberah Plant workers.

In the Semberah Field, the MWT group opened the dialogue with workers by listening to the current field workers' focus. Bambang motivated the workers to progress and develop, learn and improve themselves. “Keep learning, and if necessary, you can apply for further education that could support your work in the company,” he went on to say. 

Meanwhile, Iman also reminded the workers to maintain harmonious relationships with the community and always give positive impact to the surrounding environment. “PHSS presence should always give positive impact for the surrounding community and environment,” he said. 

Muhammad Yusuf, an employee from the Legal & Relations division felt nervous on Tuesday, 11 February morning waiting for the MWT group tp come by his house. Yusuf, who previously worked at the Community Development division for more than 10 years, still could not believe that PHI President Director and Commissioners would visit his house. His wife and three children also waited for the MWT group to arrive. “I'm nervous on what should I say to the President Director. My wife will probably do most of the talking later,” he said, smiling nervously.

As he arrived at his destination, Bambang led the group to convey some motivational and confidence words for Yusuf and his family. Bambang also talked about Yusuf's contract and asked the contractor leaders' to pay attention to the contractors' rights and obligation. 

About 300 meters from Yusuf's house, the group visited the Muara Badak Police Headquarter. The group was welcomed by Muara Badak Police Chief, Iptu Yusuf, and his subordinates. Iman led the group to express his gratitude for the Police's support for PHSS operations. Iman also urged PHSS to always support the Muara Badak Police's programs, especially on caring for the local community. 

Helping Corn Farmers, Hanging Out with President Director & Commissioners

Not far from the Nilam Central Plant, Nilam Field, PHSS visited the Nilam Baru Sejahtera Farmers' Group that focused on shelled corn cultivation. PHSS started a progam with the group since 2019. In such short time, PHSS helped the farmers by providing fertilizers for all of the group members.
