Jakarta– PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) recorded a brilliant achievement as the Highest Rank in Acquiring the Amount and Percentage of Platinum CIP Clusters in the 2023 Annual Pertamina Quality Award (APQA). APQA is an annual innovation and continuous improvement award held by PT Pertamina (Persero) ( 26/05/2023).

In the 2023 APQA, PHI sent nine representative groups and other representative group teams from Pertamina's Upstream Subholding. Six of the nine PHI representative clusters received the highest rating, namely Platinum, while three others received Gold ratings. The nine PHI clusters in APQA 2023 and the awards they won are as follows:

1. PC Prove GEMPI, Pertamina EP Tarakan Field, Zone 10 – Platinum
2. FT Prove MAXIDROFF, Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, Zone 8 – Platinum
3. I Prove TARIQUE MANG, Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, Zone 8 – Platinum
4. PC Prove SMP, Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, Zone 8 – Platinum
5. PC Prove COW-MAN, Zone 10 – Platinum
6. PC Prove WOMBO COMBO, Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, Zone 8 – Platinum
7. PC Prove LPG MELON Pertamina Hulu Indonesia in collaboration with PT Badak LNG – Gold
8. PC Prove The BD, Zone 9 – Gold
9. FT Prove DNA MAHAKAM, Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, Zone 8 – Gold

This achievement confirmed PHI as the Pertamina entity with the highest percentage of Platinum acquisition and placed PHI as the highest ranking of the 40 corporate entities originating from 7 PT Pertamina (Persero) sub-holdings that competed in APQA 2023.

President Director of PHI, John Anis, conveyed the Company's belief that the application of innovation and technology plays a significant role in maintaining the Company's oil and gas production level so that it can continue to produce the energy needed by Indonesia.

"At PHI, we continue to encourage innovation and the application of technology in the Company's oil and gas operations and business based on best practices in the national and global upstream oil and gas industry," said John Anis.

According to him, PHI and its subsidiaries and affiliates in Regional 3 Kalimantan have produced hundreds of treatises on continuous improvement and innovations that have improved the Company's performance and saved hundreds of millions of dollars.

John Anis also added that PHI collaborates with various parties, including partner companies, to find innovations and technologies to improve the safety, reliability, and excellence of the Company's oil and gas operations.

"Through this APQA event, we also support the wider application of various innovations and upstream oil and gas technologies produced by PHI within PT Pertamina (Persero) and the Indonesian oil and gas industry," he concluded.

APQA is an annual event held since 2010 to encourage innovation and technology application in all PT Pertamina business lines (Persero). With the theme 'Embracing Change Leap The Challenges', this year's activity was held on 23-26 May 2023 and involved 154 excellent treatises and created value (value creation) of up to IDR 12.02 trillion.
