Jakarta- PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) through its subsidiaries and affiliates, namely PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS), PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangatta Field, and PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field held the Oil and Gas Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Operator Certification program and Well Care Floor Operator (OLPS)/Rig Flooring on 26 June - 25 July 2023.

This training activity was attended by 20 participants from the Subdistricts of Muara Badak, Marangkayu, South Sangatta, Anggana, Muara Jawa, Samboja, West Samboja, and Sangasanga which are in the area around the company's operations.

PHSS Field Manager Ade Diar Suhendar stated that this activity was part of the Company's Community Development Program (PPM) or CSR and was carried out in collaboration with the Oil and Gas Human Resources Development Center (PPSDM) of the Cepu Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

"The company is committed to running a Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program that supports the achievement of sustainable development goals or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," said Ade.

According to Ade, in carrying out the CSR program, the company always collaborates with all stakeholders, especially the community and government, so that the program creates significant benefits and values that can be enjoyed together.

Representative of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Representative for Kalimantan and Sulawesi Region (Kalsul) Marsha Devana Wahab, who was also present to accompany the activity expressed his appreciation to PHSS, PEP Sangasanga Field and PEP Sangatta Field for the company's ongoing CSR activities to support human resource capacity in the oil and gas operating area including PPSDM.

"This activity is a concrete form of support from the upstream oil and gas industry which is not only aimed at training younger generation candidates to be ready to work in the upstream oil and gas industry sector but is also expected to be absorbed in other industrial sectors," said Marsha.

Representing the Head of PPSDM, Certification Sub Coordinator, Suntoro welcomed the participants at the Cepu PPSDM Office and advised them to make the best of their time.
"This competency certification activity is carried out for 120 hours consisting of 40 to 50 hours of theory and 70 to 80 hours of practice, and at the end of the training, the participants will be subject to a competency test process which will later become a determining part of the participant's graduation and after that head to the challenges of the world of work," he explained.

Furthermore, Suntoro added that the certificate issued by PPSDM MIGAS is valid for all national companies and applies to jobs in international companies operating abroad.
On a separate occasion, PHI Communication Relations & CID Manager Dony Indrawan explained the company's commitment to continuing to develop innovative CSR programs that are capable of supporting the independence of the community and young people in the fields of education, economy, health and the environment.

"One of our other CSR programs in the field of education is the provision of scholarships to students who excel in helping smooth the education process in tertiary institutions," explained Dony.According to Him, PHI also provides education and training facilities to schools and teachers in the company's operational areas.
