JAKARTA - To commemorate Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) month, PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) held several events, including blood drive and hygiene kit donation for flood victims around the PHI office at Graha Elnusa Jakarta on Friday, 7 February. The company also donated nutritional food for orphans from the Wisma Karya Bakti Orphanage, Parung, on Saturday, 8 February.
PHI President Director Bambang Manumayoso said that this was the company's commitment to care for others. The company plan to hold the program regularly to not only help patients in need of blood, but also encourage workers to donor their blood for their health benefits.<br />
"This showcased PHI employees' commitment. As Indonesian citizens, we help our brothers and sisters in need of blood to recover. The program will also continue so we became a leading QHSSE for Pertamina and the public. The program will also be extended to be held for communities around PHI other operation areas such as PHM, PHSS dan Pertamina," he said.
The program was not only held at the PHI headquarter. PHI subsidiaries also conducted similar programs. "Insha Allah (God willing), this will give us all blessings as its a form of sharing with our brothers and sisters. This is one of those moments where we can be closer with the community to donor our blood for those in need," he said.
One of the donors, Efriza M.K.R, said she was happy with the program. She hoped that the blood drive would be held regularly by PHI. "This is my first time donating blood. I was once rejected because I was underweight. Hopefully PHI will hold the blood drive regularly," she said.
