Balikpapan— PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM), through its Supply Chain Management (SCM) function, successfully held a socialization event to introduce the Indonesian Oil and Gas (IOG) e-Commerce and i-Vendor platforms to its business partners in East Kalimantan. The event, which took place at the Gunung Utara Club House in Balikpapan on Friday, May 9, 2025, was attended by 190 participants from various goods and services provider companies within PHM’s working environment. It took place at the Gunung Utara Club House in Balikpapan on Friday, May 9, 2025.
In his opening remarks, Abrianto Nur Cahyono, Manager of SCM & Asset Management at PHM, stated that digital transformation has reached all industrial sectors, including the upstream oil and gas industry. To support the use of digital technology in enhancing the efficiency of procurement processes, the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities/Satuan Kerja Khusus Pelaksana Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Minyak dan Gas Bumi (SKK Migas) has developed a digital procurement platform called IOG e-Commerce. “IOG e-Commerce is designed to connect Cooperation Contract Contractors/Kontraktor Kontrak Kerja Sama (KKKS) as buyers with goods and service providers through a digital platform. This system promotes faster, more transparent, and more effective procurement processes, supporting the growth of domestic industry capabilities,” Abrianto explained.
In addition to IOG e-Commerce, participants were also introduced to the i-Vendor platform PT Pertamina (Persero) developed. This digital service allows vendors to monitor the progress of their billing processes in real time, from tax status to invoice tracking, through a practical and transparent online system.
To further support the development of vendor quality, the event also featured a coaching clinic on using the Centralized Integrated Vendor Database (CIVD), a digital platform initiated and managed by SKK Migas. During this session, vendors had the opportunity to consult directly with verification teams from PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) and PHM regarding registration challenges and tax document updates in the CIVD system. Through this initiative, PHM aims to enhance collaboration with its business partners, improve efficiency, and support the sustainability of national oil and gas production.
Meanwhile, the Manager of Communication Relations & CID at PHI, Dony Indrawan, emphasized the company’s commitment to continuously support local businesses and develop more professional partnerships aligned with the needs of upstream oil and gas operations. “This event serves as a bridge to create opportunities for local businesses to access and benefit from the digitalization of procurement processes in the upstream oil and gas industry,” said Dony.
He added that this initiative will strengthen stakeholders’ confidence in more transparent and open procurement processes. “We believe this event aligns with PHI’s strategic direction and policies in leveraging digitalization within procurement activities,” he concluded.
