Penajam – PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) organized another blood donation event at the Mess Hall of the Lawe-Lawe Terminal, Penajam Paser Utara (PPU), East Kalimantan, on Monday (June 10, 2024). This collaborative event with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) PPU carried the campaign theme "Let's Donate Blood #Give Blood, Give Plasma, Share Life, Share Often."
Superintendent of Production Lawe-Lawe, Hendra Murdani, stated that this blood donation event is a form of implementing the values of humanity and the concern of the company’s employees towards others, especially those in need of blood transfusions. "The blood donated is very useful for many people who need blood transfusions. The available blood can save lives," Hendra explained.
On this occasion, Hendra expressed his appreciation to the donors who voluntarily donated blood, thereby supporting the availability of blood stocks at PMI. This event successfully collected 47 bags of blood.
Meanwhile, Assistant Manager of Health, Dr. Suhartono, said that blood donation has a positive impact on the donor's health. "We believe that the health level of employees and work partners can affect the productivity and performance of the company. Being a donor will improve their health," Dr. Suhartono revealed.
Manager of Communication Relations & CID PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia, Dony Indrawan, explained that the blood donation event manifests the company's commitment to implementing Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs in the health sector.
"We collaborate with all stakeholders in implementing the company's TJSL programs to ensure the success and sustainability of these programs. For example, in this blood donation event, we worked with PMI PPU Regency," he said.
PHI, PHKT, and other subsidiaries continue implementing TJSL programs that provide significant benefits to the community, government, and other stakeholders.
