Kutai Kartanegara – PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) and PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field have been honored by the Kutai Kartanegara District Health Office for their proactive contributions to health programs throughout 2024. The awards ceremony took place during the 60th National Health Day Celebration at the RSUD AM Parikesit parking lot in Tenggarong Seberang, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
PHSS received recognition for its contributions to the 2024 health program in the Muara Badak Health Center area, while PEP Sangasanga Field was acknowledged for supporting stunting intervention programs for at-risk toddlers in Kutai Kartanegara Regency.
Kutai Kartanegara District Secretary Sunggono conveyed a message from the Indonesian Minister of Health, encouraging all stakeholders to leverage the post-COVID-19 recovery momentum to propel Indonesia toward becoming a high-income nation and realizing the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045. "The foundation for achieving the 2045 target is a healthy and intelligent population, which can only be achieved through collaboration among all stakeholders," Sunggono emphasized.
On a separate occasion, PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) Manager of Communication Relations & CID, Dony Indrawan, expressed gratitude for the recognition from the Kutai Kartanegara District Health Office. He reaffirmed the company's dedication to supporting government programs in areas surrounding its operations. "PHI, along with its subsidiaries and affiliates, including PHSS and PEP Sangasanga Field, remains committed to supporting government initiatives to achieve the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045," Dony stated.
He further highlighted the company's efforts in community development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. "Our CSR initiatives integrate social and environmental innovations to deliver sustainable and meaningful impacts for the communities near our operational areas," he added.
PHSS conducts various health and social programs in Muara Badak, including HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns, community blood donation drives, and burn treatment training for firefighters and volunteers. PHSS also supports healthy sanitation programs in Gas Alam Badak I Village and develops health infrastructure, such as building a foundation for the fence of village health posts (Poskesdes) and integrated health service posts (Posyandu) in Batu Batu Village, Muara Badak District.
Meanwhile, PEP Sangasanga Field focuses on addressing stunting among toddlers in Sangasanga Dalam Village (Sangasanga District), Sungai Seluang Village (Samboja District), and Anggana Village (Anggana District). In August 2024, the company provided supplementary feeding (PMT) and nutritional education to toddlers' families, with active involvement from local health workers.
Elis Fauziyah, Head of Communication Relations & CID of Zona 9, highlighted that the program reflects cross-sector collaboration between PEP Sangasanga Field, local health centers, and government agencies. With support from central and Kutai Kartanegara governments, PEP Sangasanga Field distributed assistance valued at IDR 43 million to over 100 toddlers suffering from malnutrition, stagnant weight gain, or underweight conditions. "The recognition received by PHSS and PEP Sangasanga Field underscores the effectiveness of collaboration between the company and all stakeholders in enhancing community well-being through sustainable health programs," Elis remarked.
