Kutai Kartanegara – PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) supports the development of the Calcio Nilam Association Football School (SSB ACN) in Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The Support is given to channel the talent of the younger generation and improve the quality of the game in the sport of football. SSB ACN is a form of synergy between PHSS, Local Government, and residents of Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, with the current number of students reaching 113 people aged 8-20 years.
Section Head Northern Area Operations PHSS, Arif Budiman said that SSB ACN is expected to produce high-achieving professional soccer players through talent search, breeding, education and training in playing techniques based on the latest science and technology that has been carried out from a young age. “We provide support in the form of fields, uniforms, secretariat rooms and equipment, as well as several other supporting facilities. This support also contributes to the achievement of SDG Goal 3 regarding a healthy and prosperous life, with a focus on promoting healthy living and supporting prosperity for all ages," said Arif.
Arif also added that the activities carried out in the ACN SSB program are a form of positive physical, mental and character development for the younger generation who deserves support from stakeholders in Muara Badak District. Meanwhile, the Head of Muara Badak Sub-district, Arpan S.Sos., said that ACN's SSB activities indirectly contributed to the welfare of the people living in the area.
Currently SSB ACN has donated young talent to national level football matches, such as: Liga-3, Top Score League, SELEKNAS TIMNAS U16 and U19, Kutai Kartanegara POPDA Team, as well as representing East Kalimantan in the Indonesian Student League event in Cirebon in 2020.
PHSS is part of Subholding Upstream Pertamina Regional 3 Zone 9 which manages oil and gas fields in the Kalimantan region. In 2020, the average PHSS production for oil was 4.64 MMBL and gas was 28.12 BSCF. PHSS carries out safe, effective, efficient and environmentally friendly oil and gas operations to support the achievement of national oil and gas production targets.
