Muara Jawa – PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS), part of Pertamina Upstream Subholding Region 3 Zona 9, launched three activities from the Rumah Literasi Kreatif (Rulika) Bunga Kertas Flagship Program Work Plan in Mutiara Field during the first quarter of 2022.

Rulika Bunga Kertas is a community literacy and creativity development program using participatory and collaborative approaches. RULIKA is expected to become a social incubator as a driving force to develop the creativity and capability of the community.

The first RULIKA Activities in 2022 is a Muslim dress sewing course for 20 MAMUJA (Mamah Muda Samboja) members, a creative community group for young women. The course aims to spark members' creativity and potential so that they can produce and market Muslim dresses on their own.

To meet the aspirations of Beringin Agung Village youth during last year's Youth Camp, PHSS held content creator training at Swiss-Belhotel Balikpapan (March 5-6, 2022). Training participants learned how to maximize the features of social media platform Instagram from content creator Aldi Riandana and How to Build Your Branding from Mrs. Lisa, owner of Mie Desa and Meat Me products. The goal is to encourage the creativity of young people in Beringin Agung Village as pioneers in promoting positive activities of teens and young adults through informative and engaging social media content.

In addition to the women and youth community groups in Beringin Agung Village, RULIKA Program also targets the board of Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDES). BUMDES Management Training held in Balikpapan (March 12-13, 2022) concluded the series of Rulika activities and was attended by ten board members of BUMDES Maju Mapan, Beringin Agung Village.
The head of Beringin Agung Village, Kusnadi, expressed his appreciation towards RULIKA for its contribution to the equitable progress of the residents in his village. To improve the competence of our residents, Rulika targets various age groups. Even elementary school students get to enjoy English lessons, he said.

In his online remarks, PHSS Field Manager, Widhiarto Imam Subarkah, conveyed his hope for the training to increase the knowledge and competence of the community and BUMS board. In the future, this knowledge and competency can be applied to boost Beringin Agung Village's revenue (PAD).

Over the years, PHSS has carried out various CSR programs for the economy, education, health, and the environment that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). PHSS also implements social and environmental innovations in the Company's CSR programs to create significant and sustainable impacts.
