Jakarta (21 January 2021) - PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), one of PT Pertamina (Persero) subsidiaries under the upstream subholding, announced that it has received ISO 37001:2016 Certificate on Anti Bribery Management System (SMAP) from the PT British Standard Institution Group Indonesia (BSI) , one of the 10 SMAP certification institutions accredited by National Accreditation Committee. 

The certificate handover ceremony was held on Thursday, 21 January 2021 during an online event where PHI Board of Commissioners, Iman Prasetyo Moelyadi and Taufan Hunneman, PHE Corporate Secretary, Whisnu Bahriansyah, PHI and its subsidiaries' management. The certificate was handed by BSI Director Erna Damayanty to PHI President Director Chalid Said Salim in a symbolic procession considering the health protocols during the pandemic. 

The certificate handover agenda was also filled with a presentation titled: ”Building Corporate Anti Corruption Culture as Part of the Anti Bribery Management System,” by Anti Corruption Activist Febri Diansyah, who was also the spokesperson for Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The attendees ccould also asked questions on bribe and corruption prevention. 

During his opening speech, PHI President Director Chalid Said Salim conveyed the Boards of Directors and Commissioners' commitment to manage the company with good corporate governance principles. ”We fully support anti bribery actions in PHI's work environment through the ISO 37001: 2016 Anti Bribery Management System certification,” Chalid said. 

ISO 37001:2016 SMAP is a standard guidance for private and public organizations that might happen in the company. ”We believe this certification was the right decision to ensure that the system in PHI's business and operations can prevent bribe potentials that can disrupt PHI's business, operations and reputation in producing sustainable energy and create values for all stakeholders,” Chalid went on to say. 

”We ran various stages in preparing for the SMAP certification since the second quarter of 2020 including organizing Awareness Training on Anti Bribery Policy and ISO 37001:2016 Anti Bribery Management System for all PHI offcers on 27 August 2020,” Chalid said.

"The certification  is a validation for all of PHI's business and operations activities. Therefire, the certification is an important part from the management's effort in ensuring the company has conducted the anti bribery management system well," Chalid concluded.
