Jakarta, 10 February 2021 - PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) feels deep sorrow and tries to help the victims of flood in 11 regencies/cities in South Kalimantan that caused 100,000 residents to evacuate, as welll as the 6.2 magnitude earthquake in West Sulawesi that caused deaths to tens of people. The disasters left sorrow and massive material losses. 

Through the #PertaminaPeduli program, PHSS distributed assistance to those affected by the disasters in South Kalimantan and West Sulawesi. 

PHSS partnered with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Foundation and East Kalimantan Police to distribute the assistance to South Kalimantan. The assistance was distributed in the form of Humanity Food Truck that could serve meals for more than 800 victims affected in the Martapura City, as well as distribute staple food for hundreds of people in the affected areas. 

Meanwhile, PHSS partnered with the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantage Regions & Transmigration staple food packages for the earthquake victims in West Sulawesi in the Botteng Village and the Botteng Transmigration Settlement Unit, Mamuju Regency. 

The ministry's Director General of Transmigration District Development, Ir.Rr. Aisyah Gamawati, MM., appreciated PHSS response in assisting the earthquake victims in West Sulawesi. “Care and support from all parties, including companies, are required to provide basic needs for those affected by the disaster. We hope the assistance can lighten the burden that our brothers and sisters that have been affected” Aisyah said. 

On a separate occasion, PHSS Interim General Manager Budi Srisantoso said that the flood and earthquake left deep sorrow for the company and other parties. Everyone's concern was important to lighten the burden of those who had been affected. “Our collaboration with the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions & Transmigration, East Kalimantan Police and Aksi Cepat Tanggap Foundation really helps PHSS in distributing the assistance to the right target and help fulfill their needs”, Budi added.
