Balikpapan- PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is committed to boosting the ability of local producers to support the achievement of gas production targets in Kalimantan. Natural gas, as a transitional energy, will fulfill power at IKN towards the Net Zero Emission target.
This commitment manifests in efforts to create significant value for the state, government, and Indonesian people through various innovations, the use of technology, synergy, and collaboration with all stakeholders. This was conveyed by the Main Director of PHI, John Anis, during the implementation of the Kalimantan Sulawesi National Capacity Forum 2023 (Forkapnas Kalsul 2023) (which lasted two days (04-05/07/2023) in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.
Forkapnas is a collaboration between stakeholders with the primary objective of integrating the capabilities of local producers to produce new products that can answer the needs of the national upstream oil and gas industry. This is the second year that PHI has taken on the coordinator role for implementing the Forkapnas Kalsul with the theme "Strategic Role of the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry in Supporting the Archipelago's Capital."
"Until May 2023, the achievement of the realization of TKDN of the Joint Procurement Commitment was 61.78% with a value of 5.2 trillion rupiahs. Meanwhile, the realization of the Combined TKDN Verification results reached 54.63% with a value of nearly 2 trillion rupiahs," said John.
Furthermore, John conveyed that last year's two Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) workers had the opportunity to receive the Satyalancana Wira Karya award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia. Brothers Ardian Fandika and Brothers Irawan Josodipuro each created revolutionary innovations that impact the quality of national products that meet international standards and support the increase in the use of TKDN.
The following year, PHM received two awards from the Directorate General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources at the Domestic Product Appreciation and Goods Substitution for Upstream Oil and Gas Import Operations in 2021-2022. PHM received an award in the category of Selected KKKS With the Best Development of Domestic Producers and in the Category of Selected KKKS With the Most Use of Domestic Products
Forkapnas Kalsul 2023 is a collaboration between SKK Migas, PSC Contractors, and Goods and Services Provider Partners. Regional Leaders attended it in the Kalimantan & Sulawesi regions. This activity displayed the platforms of various upstream oil and gas-assisted industries. To improve communication and collaboration to maximize domestic goods/services use. Forkapnas Kalsul 2023 also held Focus Group Discussions with speakers from the Regional Government, SKK Migas, KKKS, Goods/Services Providers, and MSMEs, presentations from Goods/Services Providers, exhibitions for the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry, as well as exhibitions for MSME partners fostered by KKKS.
"With good collaboration, we believe we can support the achievement of the national oil and gas production target of 1 million barrels of oil per day and 12 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day with the maximum achievement of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN)," concluded John.
