SANGATTA -  Pertamina EP Sangatta Field Successfully Achieved PROPER Beyond Compliance, which is beyond the aspect of compliance with environmental regulations by obtaining a Green predicate in the 2021 Company Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management (PROPER) organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) RI.

This annual award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) was handed over directly by Vice President K.H. Ma'ruf Amin and Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar from the Vice Presidential Palace in Jakarta on 28/12/2021 last.

Sangatta Field Manager, Hanif Setiawan said that this award is the government's acknowledgment, especially the Ministry of Environment and Forestry for the company's commitment to running a safe, effective, efficient, compliant, and environmentally friendly oil and gas business and operations, and supporting innovative and sustainable community development.

"Our 6 years of waiting and earnest efforts in environmental management have brought Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Regional 3 Zone 9 Sangatta Field to successfully obtain the Green title in 2021. This achievement will be a higher motivation for the management and all employees of Pertamina EP Sangatta Field to be able to maintain and improve environmental management performance in the company's operational areas in the years to come, "explained Hanif.

Every year Pertamina EP Sangatta Field continues to improve environmental management performance through energy efficiency programs, saving water use, reducing/utilizing LB3 and non-LB3, biodiversity protection to community development that is carried out systematically and sustainable manner. As in the environmental aspect, Sangatta Field is present in the Ecosystem Restoration Program for the Kutai National Park Area, Patrol for Forest and Land Fire Prevention in the KNP Area, Mangrove Cultivation, and Tree Planting. In the aspect of community development, there were the Kelulut Sangatta Garden program, Posyandu Cadre for Balanced Nutrition, Environmental Trust for Produced Shredded Fish, and Seaweed Amplang.

Pertamina EP Sangatta Field continues to improve the company's performance in supporting the achievement of national oil and gas production in line with good environmental management performance and responsibility to the community.
