Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field Supports Setaria Farming Group to Inspire in CSR Forum 2021

Kutai Kartanegara – Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field invited the Setaria Farmer Group to share inspiration and be one of the speakers at the 2021 Corporate Social Responsibility Forum (FTJS) Webinar entitled "Participation in Upstream Oil and Gas Assistance Towards Food Security for Communities Around Oil and Gas Operation Areas" which held by SKK Migas Representative of Kalimantan Sulawesi (SKK Migas Kalsul) (26/10).

The webinar was opened by the Head of SKK Migas Kalsul Representative, Azhari Idris, who said that the synergy between the business world, the government, and the community around the operational area must be maintained and improved, especially in the agricultural sector. Furthermore, Azhari urges companies to actively coaching and developing farmer groups with modern farming systems. The webinar also attended by the Head and staff of the Central SKK Migas, the Head of BAPPEDA and the Head of the Agriculture Service for the Kalimantan and Sulawesi regions.

In this activity, the Head of the Setaria Farmer's Group, Sutrimo, explained about innovation in the management of the Integrated Farmers' CSR program, the Setaria Group's Social Innovation System or called "TANTE SISKA" supported by PEP Sangasanga Field. Sutrimo told about the struggle to established a farmer's group since 2019 when the coal mining company where he and several of his colleagues worked went out of business. He also conveyed the PEP Sangasanga Field initiative after seeing the potential of this farmer group and jointly developing various innovations, one of which was carrying out integrated agriculture with an environmentally friendly circular economy system.

TANTE SISKA's innovation supports the achievement of several SDG's goals, including: goal 12 targets 12.2 to achieve sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources, goal 13 target 13.2 to integrate climate change anticipation actions into national policies and planning, and goal 15 target 15.3 to stop desertification, restore degraded land and land crisis, including land affected by desertification, drought and flooding, and strive to achieve a world free of degraded land. Currently, TANTE SISKA has succeeded in becoming one of the flagship CSR programs of PEP Sangasanga Field.

TANTE SISKA's innovation in agriculture is expected to be a step in realizing food security in welcoming East Kalimantan as the new capital city and supporting the achievement of SDG's Goals 1 and 2 targets in eradicating poverty and hunger.

PEP Sangasanga Field, which is part of the Pertamina Subholding Upstream Regional 3 Zona 9, has a working area of ​​128 km² divided into three fields, namely Sangasanga, Anggana, and Samboja. SKK Migas Integrated Operating System (SOT) data dated 30 October 30 2021 year-to-date shows that PEP Sangasanga crude oil production of 4,780 BOPD. Meanwhile, gas production is about 3,3168 MMSCFD.
