Samboja – PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field held a blood donation activity aimed at supporting the health of pregnant women and childbirth entitled Kupendam Asa (Kumpulan Pendonor Darah Maternal Agar Selamat) at the Samboja Health Center, Kutai Kartanegara Regency (22/09). PEP Sangasanga collaborates with the Samboja Health Center and Aji Batara Agung Dewa Sakti Hospital.

The program launched by the Samboja Health Center, the Samboja PKIB team, and PEP Sangasanga Field is a preventive step so that no more cases of pregnant women who die due to the absence of blood stocks for transfusion needs. RSUD Aji Batara Agung Dewa Sakti Samboja plays a role in storing blood stocks from donors in the blood bank of the hospital so that if needed during childbirth, blood stocks are available.

Senior Field Manager of PEP Sangasanga Field, Gondo Irawan, explained that the Company runs four main activities in the Company's CSR program in the health sector: called Prokesmas Puja, that is Tato Macan (Tanaman Toga Makin Cantik), Pentas Pantas (Pencegahan Stunting, Pantang Stunting), Ikan Pesut (Ikatan Pemburu Suspect Tuberculosis) and Puspa Kasih which gave birth to the Kupendam Asa program.

Furthermore, Gondo said that the Company urges employees to participate in this activity as a form of employee volunteerism and involvement of Pertamina employees in the Company's CSR activities.

"We believe that the success of our CSR program is the collaboration between the Company, beneficiaries, supporting partners, and all other stakeholders. As many as 60 donors came from residents of various villages in Samboja district and also PEP Sangasanga Field workers from the Main Collection Station (SPU) of Samboja field," said Gondo.

Meanwhile, the Head of Samboja Sub-district, Burhanuddin, present with the Secretary of the sub-district, Sungai Seluang Village, Margomulyo Village, and the Head of the UPTD Samboja Health Center, expressed his appreciation to PEP Sangasanga Field for facilitating Kupendam Asa activities.

Burhanuddin determined that the ranks of the Subdistrict government, Samboja Health Center, and all community members will strive to develop the activities contained in the Puja Prokesmas CSR program to continue so that it can provide various benefits to the community in Samboja District, especially in Margomulyo Village and Sungai Seluang Village.
