Sanga-sanga, Kutai Kartanegara – Pertamina EP Sangasanga Field (PEP Sangasanga) met with Batalyon Kavaleri (Armored Cavalry Battalion) 13/Satya Lembuswana at PEP Sangasanga Office on Thursday (10/07) to strengthen security of National Vital Objects (OBVITNAS) in oil and gas sector in order to support the Company’s operation.
In the meeting attended by the Senior Manager of PEP Sangasanga, Gondo Irawan and the Commander of Batalyon Kavaleri 13/Satya Lembuswana, Cavalry Lieutenant Colonel (Letkol Kav.) Andhi Ardana Valeriandra Putra, S.H., M.Si., both parties evaluated the implementation of their cooperation and formulated ways to improve synergy strategies for the following years.
Gondo Irawan expressed his expectation that the cooperation between the two can be continued well. “This meeting is important, not only to build stronger relationship but also as a proof of our joint commitment to ensure the security of assets managed by Pertamina EP Sangasanga Field, which are crucial national vital objects for Indonesia’s energy resilience,” he said.
Letkol Kav. Andhi Ardana expressed his support for the continuation of their synergic cooperation in improving security for both PEP Sangasanga Field’s operations and its assets. Andi also described that the security measures on his team will be involving proactive and effective approaches to communities in the vicinity of the company’s operations, so that they can accurately map all potential threats/problems as well as ways to solve them.
Pertamina EP Sangasanga Field, which is part of Zone 9 of Pertamina Subholding Upstream Regional 3, has an operational area of 128 km² divided into three fields, namely Sangasanga, Anggana, and Samboja. Data from SKK Migas’ Integrated Operational System (SOT) dated 07 October 2021 year-to-date showed that PEP Sangasanga Field has produced 5,052 BOPD of crude oil and around 3,5659 MMSCFD of gas.
