Kutai Kartanegara - PT Pertamina Hulu East Kalimantan (PHKT) received an honorary visit from the East Kalimantan Kapolda Irjen Pol. Drs. Herry Rudolf Nahak, M.Sc. (29/10) with the aim to survey the working area and oil and gas facilities which are National Vital Objects (Obvitnas).

The visit of the East Kalimantan Kapolda was carried out in the Northern Operations Area (DOBU), namely Rig Asian Endeuvour (AE) 1 and Santan Terminal operated by PHKT, which is part of the Upstream Subholding Regional 3 Kalimantan Zona 10. The activity was attended by the General Manager of Zona 10, Ram Krishna; Dirpamobvit Polda East Kalimantan, Kombes Pol. Pri Hartono E. L, S.I.K.; and Wadir Polairud Polda Kaltim, AKBP Boyke Karel Wattimena, S.I.K., M.H.

The East Kalimantan Kapolda said that the Polda of Kaltim would supervise Pertamina's production operations, not only as a safeguard but also as a supervisor, consultant, and protector of Obvitnas. "As a state task carried out by the National Police, the East Kalimantan Regional Police are ready to fully support the Obvitnas Security in maintaining the conduciveness of the national oil and gas supply, as an effort to support the national economy," said Herry.

Meanwhile, GM Zona 10, Raam Krisna explained the operation of PHKT and Zona 10 and conveyed the latest developments regarding updates to the Company's organization, activities, plans and other work programs. Krisna also expressed his appreciation to the East Kalimantan Kapolda and his staff who have fully supported the security of all oil and gas fields managed by Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur.

Krisna also added, "Hopefully the synergy between PHKT and the East Kalimantan Polda will always be harmonious. I believe that this security technical cooperation can improve the smooth operation of upstream oil and gas with the intention to continue in supporting the achievement of the national oil and gas production target of 1 million BOPD and 12 BSCFD by 2030.”
