SKK Migas Operations Deputy, Julius Wiratno, symbolically inaugurated the Jumelai Project onstream in the SPS Field Control Room. During his speech, Julius said that gas production from the project was expected to reach 45 MMSCFD (million standard cubic feet per day) and 710 BCPD (barrels of condensate per day).

“With a fairly large  production, the production from the Jumelai Field is one of the supports the national oil and gas needs as well as the drives the economy for Indonesians, especially in the East Kalimantan Province,” he said.

On a separate occasion, PHI President Director Chalid Said Salim said that the Jumelai Project was PHM’s first Green Field project in 2022.

“This project started in June 2020 with the contract signing with PHM’s partner, PT Meindo Elang Indah. The project’s teams achieved 4.6 million safe manhour and no LTIs during the project development which is an exceptional achievement,” he said.

From start to finish, the project was conducted amid the COVID19 pandemic but it could still be carried out well and safely. “We really appreciate the troops that have worked well in finishing this project,” Chalid said.

During his speech, PHM General Manager Krisna explained that the JSN project was proof of PHM’s commitment to continue to innovate and optimize the fulfillment of national energy needs. “This could not be achieved without the full support from SKK Migas, PHE and PHI as our parent company,” he said.

“We expect the first onstream from JUM-102 in the JML 1 platform to reach 20 MMSCFD, with 3 wells that would flow to JML 1. With the operation of the JML-1 platform, we expect PHM’s gas production to increase to 530 MMSCFD daily, an increase from our average daily production rate of 494 MMSCFD in end of April 2022,” said Krisna.

The JML-1 platform currently has the capacity of 45 MMSCFD. With the plan to operate 3 platforms in the JSN Project, PHM expects to produce 135 MMSCFD of natural gas and support 20 percent of the oil and gas production from the Mahakam Working Area in 2024.
