Banjarmasin - PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Tanjung Field, in significant collaboration with SKK Migas Kalimantan and Sulawesi Regional Representative, Mubadala Energy, and young entrepreneurs, hosted a pivotal public lecture at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, on April 25. This event, attended by over 200 students, was themed 'Be Innovative, Be Entrepreneur, Just Start!'.
As one of the speakers, the Field Manager of PEP Tanjung Field, Kurniawan Triyo Widodo, presented the upstream oil and gas production activities in the PEP Tanjung Field Working Area, which has been operational since 1898 and the company's contribution to energy provision and community empowerment. "In addition to providing energy, the company's flagship CSR programs have also contributed to community development efforts, including the Kuas Jirak Program, a candidate for the Gold PROPER last year," Triyo explained.
Triyo elaborated that innovative CSR programs, developed in collaboration with the community, can create shared value and benefits enjoyed by all.
PEP Tanjung Field's participation in this public lecture demonstrates the company's support for activities related to advancing science, technology, and national intelligence. Additionally, PEP Tanjung Field invited their foster partners to share their experiences during the event hosted at ULM's Faculty of Economics and Business Lecture Theater.
In the same context, this public lecture aims to introduce the upstream oil and gas industry to students in greater depth, stated Azhari Idris, the Head of SKK Migas Kalimantan and Sulawesi Regional Representative. The material was provided directly by SKK Migas and Contracted Cooperation Contractor (KKKS) in South Kalimantan, namely PEP Tanjung and Mubadala Energy. "With our presence at ULM, students' insights into the upstream oil and gas industry become broader. The need for professional human resources is not limited to engineering experts but also tailored to the company's needs, provided they have competency in their field," Azhari said.
Rivaldy, a business actor from Banjarmasin, also presented at the event and introduced entrepreneurship to the students.
Deputy Rector IV for Cooperation, Public Relations, and Information Systems at ULM, Yusuf Azis, expressed appreciation to SKK Migas, PEP Tanjung Field, and Mubadala Energy for sharing knowledge and experiences with the students. "The experience from these professionals is needed to broaden students' horizons as they prepare for their careers after graduation," said Yusuf, representing ULM Rector Prof. Ahmad Alim Bachri.
