Balikpapan - PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Bunyu Field, part of the Sub holding Upstream Regional 3 Zona 10, completed the construction of the Subsea Loading Line. It is a 1.6 km pipeline replacement project that flows crude oil production from the Bunyu Facility Terminal to the Pipeline End Manifold (PLEM).
General Manager of Zona 10, Djudjuwanto, explained that this project is a manifestation of the Company's commitment to maintaining the reliability of the oil and gas managed operating facilities. It can continue to support the provision of energy needed by the state and the implementation of the AKHLAK value system as a guideline for every worker's behavior and activities in the Company.
"The Company has been operating for decades. We always ensure the reliability and safety of oil and gas operations as a top priority. We implement the principles of the HSSE Golden Rules and best practices in the field of safety to minimize incidents, and ensure the sustainability of oil and gas production," said Djudjuwanto.
Djudjuwanto added that maintenance activities for the facility, which has been operating since 1985, the important in upstream oil and gas operations. "With planned maintenance, we hope that corrective maintenance activities can be reduced or planned earlier, so as not to cause production disruptions," he explained.
The completion of this project was marked by the implementation of the Bunyu Subsea Loading Line Completion Meeting in Balikpapan. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities, Representative of Kalimantan Sulawesi (SKK Migas Kalsul) Azhari Idris, East Kalimantan Provincial Government Agencies, Bulungan Regency Government Agencies, and Bunyu district government, including the Head of the Bunyu Port Organizing Unit (KUPP) Office Abdul Wahid, General Manager of Zona 10 Djuduwanto and other stakeholders (02/09).
Azhari Idris, a Head of SKK Migas Kalsul, stated that the construction of this subsea loading line has high economic value. "The sustainability and smooth production and shipment of oil from Bunyu through this new pipeline will bear fruit into regional revenue in the form of oil and gas revenue sharing. Therefore, if there is a disruption to the pipeline, it will hurt the Company, the government, and the state," Azhari explained.
Azhari added that with the government's target of 703 thousand barrels per day in 2022, SKK Migas hopes that the construction of this pipeline will be one of the efforts to ensure that contributions to the country can continue to be fulfilled.
PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Bunyu Field is part of the Sub holding Upstream Pertamina Regional 3 captained by PHI.
