East Kalimantan – “Amanah Lingkungan” Women's Group is the only women’s group in Airport Hamlet, Sangkima Village in South Sangatta District, East Kutai Regency. Airport Hamlet is a hamlet located within the Kutai National Park conservation area near the  Zone 9 Kalimantan Region Sangatta Field working area. The name of the group is an acknowledgement that the environment they live in is a part of the conservation area that needs to be preserved.

Together with the East Kutai National Park Center, Sangatta Field encourages the utilization of the surrounding beach and waters potential by processing fishery products, one of which is by making them into fish floss with reinforcements from Amanah Lingkungan women’s group. The reinforcement program starts from production facilities and infrastructure assistance, management and product manufacturing training, food safety education, to promotion and marketing. There are 15 women in the poor household category that receive the direct benefit of this program.

The Amanah Lingkungan fish floss product is quite attractive to the market and has successfully increased the income of the group by Rp 6,000,000/month. Aside from the economic impact, the program successfully raised the members’ confidence and entrepreneurship spirit and increased the social capital of the people involved in the fish floss production. To improve the consumer’s confidence in the Amanah Lingkungan fish floss product quality and safety, Sangatta Field held a food safety training in 2021. The training was also aimed to fulfill the household business license issuance (PIRT) requirements. Despite having been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the group, led by Ibu Adriani, continued to produce the fish floss to fulfill consumers’ demand.

The group also conducted vigorous online promotion to attract demand from various parties, including participating in an MSME exhibition by the East Kutai Tourism Agency last June. With other MSME products developed by Sangatta Field such as stingless bee honey and its derivative products, ironwood craft and knitwork products, Amanah Lingkungan fish floss began to be recognized widely by the general public. They could also find the fish floss product in the Sangatta Field office under the Rombong Etam product rack.
