Sangasanga - PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field once again organized a blood donation event titled "Let's Donate Blood," coinciding with World Blood Donor Day and International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2024 on Thursday (07/07/2024). Recognizing the company's active role and consistency in humanitarian activities, particularly blood donation, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Kutai Kartanegara District, East Kalimantan Province, awarded PEP Sangasanga Field with an accolade.

Senior Manager of PEP Sangasanga Field, Sigid Setiawan, stated that this blood donation event is a concrete step by the company to contribute to blood supply availability and to combat drug abuse jointly. "As a tangible expression of support for humanitarian efforts and social responsibility, blood donation activities are believed to provide direct health benefits to both recipients and donors," said Sigrid.

According to Sigid, the successful implementation of blood donation activities is attributed to the high support and collaboration between the company and stakeholders such as employees, the community, and PMI, thereby delivering shared benefits and value. This blood donation event also involved the local community, in addition to PEP Sangasanga Field employees.

In 2024, PEP Sangasanga Field conducted two blood donation events, with the July event successfully collecting 89 units of blood. "We consistently conduct blood donation activities every quarter in each district, namely Sangasanga, Anggana, and Samboja. Thus far, a total of 173 units of blood have been collected from blood donation activities within PEP Sangasanga Field."
