More than 500 participants from 82 elementary schools attended this activity. National Puspa and Animal Love Day falls every November 5 to encourage the public to increase awareness, protection, and preservation of puspa and national animals.

PHKT HSSE Operations Manager Rotua Elizabeth said that the Company supports the activity as a form of the Company's commitment to preserving biodiversity. We hope that this activity can become an educational opportunity for the nation's future generations to care more about and love Puspa and the surrounding animals.

Rotua explained that in environmental management, the Company organizes activities in collaboration with stakeholders to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Pertamina (EP) Bunyu Field and Tarakan Field, which, together with PHKT, are under Pertamina Subholding Upstream Zona 10, supported this activity. We are starting with environmental gymnastics, an ecological education trip by undertaking trekking on a 2 km long path in the Balikpapan Botanical Gardens, terap tree planting, and the handover of black orchids, which are endemic to Kalimantan, as well as the release of 85 starlings, finches and turtle doves for wildlife.

Chairman of the eLKa Foundation, Lukman Riyadi, revealed that the collaboration carried out by the eLKa Foundation aims to provide a positive impact on conservation efforts and sustainable environmental preservation. The eLKa Foundation is also active in carrying out conservation activities involving other agencies.

On this occasion, PHKT also involved Company-assisted Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), namely the Kriya Innovation Mandara (KIM) cooperative, to provide education to female students to adopt an environmentally friendly lifestyle, one example of which is by utilizing coconut fiber waste which is processed into several items such as orchid pots as has been done by PHKT.
