Sungai Gerong, Palembang– Borneo Fire Fighter (BFRC), which is the result of a collaborative team from PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Tanjung, PEP Sangasanga, PEP Sangatta, and PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga succeeded in winning the title as overall champion in The 2nd Upstream Fire Rescue Challenge (UFRC).

UFRC is a forum provided by Pertamina's Upstream Sub-Holding to ensure the readiness of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) in each entity. This series of activities was carried out in Sungai Gerong, Palembang, South Sumatra, on 18 – 22 September 2023. In this UFRC event, PEP Tanjung, PEP Sangasanga, PEP Sangatta, and PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga collaborated to represent the Zona 9 Regional 3 Kalimantan team.

Zona 9 General Manager Andre Wijanarko expressed his joy and appreciation for the achievements achieved by Borneo Fire Fighter in this event. "This achievement shows that the team in Zona 9 continues to improve its readiness in responding to emergencies," said Andre.

Andre also stated the importance of collaboration between all stakeholders to jointly protect the safety and security of people, the environment, and company assets, which are vital national objects.
