Balikpapan – PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam's (PHM) Bekapai Field achieved 11 years without work accidents, equivalent to more than 9.2 million working hours recorded on August 27, 2022.
Bekapai Field began operating in 1972 and is the oldest field in the Mahakam Working Area. The Bekapai field produces oil and gas by applying the concept of a well-to-well gas lift. The installation, which is more than 40 years old, continues the production with the integrity of the "maintained equipment" and ongoing field development projects.
General Manager of PHM Krisna expressed his pride and joy in the achievements of the Bekapai oil and gas field. Appreciation in an event entitled "Management Greets: Bekapai 11 Years of Zero LTI" attended by the Company's management, workers, and partners.
"This achievement of 11 years without accidents makes PHM even more convinced that Zero LTI is attainable. It realized as a result of collaboration, contribution, and good cooperation from all officers in the Bekapai field; and full support from management in implementing a safe work culture," said Krisna.
PHM, according to Krisna, always encourages every worker and partner to play an active role in carrying out principles, policies, regulations, and best practices in the field of safety so that "zero accidents" or "zero incidents" can be achieved.
"This Achievement of Bekapai Field can make the spirit for even better achievements in the future in all PHM Fields," concluded Krisna.
