Muara Badak - One of the subsidiaries of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), namely PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS), held Protocol Training for employees in an event held at Recreation Hall B PHSS in Muara Badak on January 16, 2024. PHSS collaborated with the Kutai Kartanegara Regency Government Protocol (Pemkab) to facilitate the training session.

On this occasion, Markus Widjaya, head of the Protocol Subdivision of Kutai Kartanegara Regency Government, and his team presented materials related to Basic Concepts of Protocol, Event Arrangement Techniques, Personal Branding, and Public Speaking. Markus emphasized that implementing protocol activities, including event arrangements, official visit arrangements, and other related tasks, requires good communication skills.

The manager of the PHSS Field, Iva Kurnia Mahardi, who attended the event, explained that this activity is expected to strengthen the management of protocol functions in the PHSS activities.

"This activity is a manifestation of the company's commitment to supporting the development of employee competencies, thus hopefully improving the company's performance, especially in managing various activities that require knowledge and expertise in protocol," said Iva.

One of the participants, Rony, appreciated PHSS for facilitating this training. "We gained new knowledge in this training, especially in welcoming guests from various agencies, including how to speak, body language, and other aspects of welcoming stakeholders," he said.

Meanwhile, the Manager of Communication Relations & CID PHI believes that harmonious relations between the PHSS and the community in the PHSS's operational areas will support the success and sustainability of oil and gas production, "Protocol knowledge and skills will help employees who organize activities with stakeholders within and outside the company to place the right role, position, and interaction so that positive and harmonious relationships built," he explained.
