Jakarta – Sunaryanto, the CEO of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), presented the company's strategic steps to support national oil and gas production targets. Sunaryanto delivered these strategies during the engaging discussion on oil and gas by PHI, abbreviated as BASO IGA PHI, held in Jakarta on Friday (15/06).
According to him, PHI is executing four primary strategies, namely continuing exploration and exploitation programs through the synergy of PHI subsidiaries (borderless operation), optimizing baselines and developments in step-out areas, maintaining the reliability of production facilities, and optimizing costs.
The CEO of PHI also discussed various challenges in managing the company's upstream oil and gas activities in operational areas in Kalimantan, such as mature oil fields and aging facilities that have been operational for an average of over 50 years, along with asset economics. "At PHI, we continue to innovate and apply technology to sustain production and manage the challenges of business and operations, aiming to deliver significant value to all stakeholders, including the government and the community," added Anto, Sunaryanto's familiar name.
He further noted that by the first quarter of 2024, PHI-Regional 3 Kalimantan successfully produced 611.2 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD) and 61.5 thousand barrels of oil per day (MBOPD). "We remain committed to ensuring the sustainability of the company's oil and gas production, which is crucial in supporting national energy resilience," concluded Anto.
