Penajam – PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) received two awards for its active role and support of government programs in the fields of family welfare and stunting prevention. The first award was presented by the National Population and Family Planning Agency/Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) of East Kalimantan for PHKT’s support of the Child Care and Nurturing Center/Taman Asuh Sayang Anak (TAMASYA) Program. The second award was given by the Penajam Paser Utara (PPU) District Government in recognition of PHKT’s contribution to the Foster Parent Movement to Prevent Stunting Program/ Program Gerakan Orang Tua Asuh Cegah Stunting.
The awards were handed over by the Head of BKKBN East Kalimantan Representative Office, Dr. Nurizky Permanajati, M.H., to PHKT’s management representative on October 14, 2025. Nurizky praised PHKT for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to supporting the TAMASYA Program, which has strengthened childcare services and established safe, high-quality daycare centers. “This kind of collaboration is a real example of synergy between business and government in building strong Indonesian families,” he said.
The TAMASYA Program is a BKKBN initiative focused on family and community-based daycare services. Through healthy, safe, and compassionate caregiving, the program aims to help families, especially working parents, by providing an optimal environment for their children’s growth and development.
The second award, from the PPU District Government, was presented directly by Dewi Yuliana, Chairperson of the Family Welfare Empowerment Team/ Tim Penggerak Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (TP-PKK) of Penajam Paser Utara, on October 16, 2025. The Foster Parent Movement to Prevent Stunting is a cross-sector collaboration between government, businesses, and the community to provide nutrition support, mentoring, and education for families at risk of Stunting. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, PHKT has consistently contributed to strengthening efforts to prevent Stunting across the PPU District.
Elis Fauziyah, Head of Communication, Relations & CID of Zona 10, stated that the two awards reflect PHKT’s commitment to improving the quality of life for families and children in its operating areas. “We believe this achievement is tangible proof of the synergy between the Company and stakeholders in enhancing community welfare. Sustainability begins with families. Through support for childcare and stunting prevention programs, PHKT continues to create real benefits for the growth and development of future generations,” she said.
Through various community engagement and development initiatives in health, education, economy, and environment, PHKT continues to strengthen its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These include Goal 2: Zero Hunger, achieved through the Foster Parent Movement to Prevent Stunting, which directly improves children’s nutritional status; and Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, reflected in support for childcare and family health resilience.
In education, Goal 4: Quality Education is implemented through the TAMASYA Program, which focuses on early childhood education and care, emphasizing family and community participation. Elis also highlighted that all initiatives are carried out under Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through collaboration among PHKT, local governments, BKKBN, and the community, exemplifying multi-stakeholder cooperation toward sustainable development.
“Through these efforts, PHKT not only strengthens social resilience but also supports the implementation of the Government’s Asta Cita vision, particularly in developing superior human resources and improving social welfare as part of achieving Indonesia Emas 2045 and realizing sustainable national energy resilience,” she concluded.
