Sarijaya– PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field planted 100 trembles, johan and kalpataru tree seedlings in Sarijaya Village, Kec. Sanga Sanga, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This activity is a series of World Environment Day commemorations where PEP Sangasanga Field also carries out River Clean activities.

Sangasanga Field Senior Manager Sigid Setiawan explained that the tree planting activity was part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for Prosperous Waste Management (PRAKARSA) assisted by PEP Sangasanga Field.

"The planting of 100 Trembesi, Johar and Kalpataru tree seedlings was carried out in the Sarijaya Village with an area of ​​nearly 2500 square meters which will be followed up with fertilization and irrigation to ensure that the reforestation activities run smoothly and are monitored," explained Sigid.

In this planting activity, PEP Sangasanga Field collaborated with the Karya Teratai Foster Partner Group, which was attended by several stakeholders, including Sarijaya Village Head, Sarijaya Babinsa, Sarijaya Bhabinkamtibmas, Sarijaya LPM, Sarijaya Community Care Forum (FMPL), Sarijaya Youth Organization, and Partner Group Setaria Farmer Development.

"This activity is in line with the policy of reducing carbon emissions as well as supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), goal 13 on dealing with climate change, goal 15 on land ecosystems, and goal 17 on partnerships to achieve goals," he added.

Sigrid hopes that efforts to preserve the environment through planting trees can have a significant and sustainable impact, and the community can enjoy a healthy and beautiful environment," he concluded.

Sarijaya Urban Village Head Agus Dina Fitriani, who was present at the tree planting activity, appreciated the initiation of PEP Sangasanga Field to preserve the environment.
