Acting General Manager of Zona 10, Yoseph Agung Prihartono, stated that handicrafts from coconut husk waste are part of the PUSAKA CSR Program (Pemanfaatan Ulang Sabut Kelapa). "This program intends to support environmental preservation, economic development, and the enhancement of the economic value of coconut husk waste in line with the company's policy to carry out oil and gas operations that are safe, compliant, and environmentally friendly," said Yoseph.

Dony Indrawan, PHI Communication Relations & CID Manager, explained that the company, supported by SKK Migas, consistently implements innovative CSR programs to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). "The processing of coconut husks in Saloloang Village is a form of social and environmental innovation in the PUSAKA Program that can provide significant and sustainable impacts for the community, as well as reduce environmental impacts such as emissions and waste reduction," said Dony.

The training featured speakers from Omah Sabut Kelapa (OESAKA) from Yogyakarta. Participants learned to create products from coconut husk waste, such as tissue holders, brooms, bags, and other items.

Dony added that the PUSAKA Program also supports the achievement of SDGs, especially Goal 1 on poverty eradication, Goal 5 on gender equality, Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth, and Goal 13 on climate action.

The Chairwoman of Koperasi KIM, Rusni Pebriyanti, expressed appreciation to PHKT for facilitating the training activities. "This training involved around 15 women from Saloloang Village who expect to contribute to their families' economic well-being improvement," she concluded.
